Snowflake Season Day 21 and My Weird-O Dreams

I had three of the weirdest dreams ever last night.

First I dreamed that we were going to Utah for Christmas. So I asked Mom, "How long are we going to be in Utah for?" and she said "2 hours" and I said, "Isn't it kinda silly to drive for 6 hours and then only stay in Utah for 2 hours?". And she said "NO, we're going for 2 hours!" And I said "Whatever" (cuz you know how much I like the word, even in my sleep).

Then I dreamed we were on our way to Utah. We has to ride in a big leaf boat, cuz the whole way there was a big ocean. You didn't have to paddle the leaf boat to make it go, but if you stood up and leaned your weight from foot to foot you went faster, but only I could do that cuz I was sitting in the back. And there was this BIIIIIIIG, tsunami-sized wave coming toward us
(except it was to our left) and even though I knew it would help us go faster, in that crazy dream-logic way, I wanted to get as far as I could before the wave picked me up (my family was on the leaf boat, too, but they weren't talking so I forgot they were there) so I leaned as fast as I could, and then the wave got there (cuz somehow now it was behind us insted of to our left) and threw us WAAAAAAAY up in the air and we fell back down on the snow. And in that crazy, dream logic way, it made sense that we should land in the snow. And it made sense that it didn't hurt, too.

The Third Dream was that the angel that goes on top of our Christmas tree was broken.

Way too much stuff has been gone over here lately. I swear I have spent, like 12 hours singing last week. 5 hours in school choir, 2 in stake youth choir, 4 in children's choir, plus randomly breaking out in song when I feel like it = 12 freaking hours!
And I can totally feel it in my vocal cords.

We FINALLY put up our Christmas lights! well, actually, mom put them up, cuz she wouldn't let me come out on the roof to help her, which is stupid cuz it was my window that she was climbing through all the time. And also cuz I used to go out there all the time to read in peace (peace = away from my brothers, no matter what's going on in Afghanistan) but then Dad found out and he totally went off on me and it was so not cool.

I needed a few more commas in that sentence, but whatever.

The Uglies books are starting to get stupid.

Apparently there is such a thing as too much sugar cookie dough. I'm shocked.

I need to watch Star Wars.

My jaw hurts.

I know!

It has been raining like crazy here in Vegas! (well, for Vegas, it's been raining like crazy) We've probably got almost half out annual rainfall this week! Do you know how much rain fall that is? ALMOST ONE WHOLE INCH, BABY!!!!!!! WHOOHOO!

And it's getting warmer, too. I love it!

My school choir concert is tomorrow, and my Orchestra concert is on Friday. I never thought I'd say this, but THERE IS TOO MUCH MUSIC IN MY LIFE RIGHT NOW!!!!!

I can't wait till Christmas break.

This one has Great Big Roundy Triangles in it. I like Great Big Roundy Triangles.

We're about to start 12 Days of Christmas-ing tomorrow! It's like ding-dong-ditch, but you leave a gift that has something to do with each day in the 12 Days of Christmas song. For example, the first day icould be a bird ornament and a pear tree branch, the 2nd day could be a 'turtle' made from dove chocolate (mmmm....) etc.

We do that every year, and it's really fun!

This one is like the Messy Fingerpaint One or something. It seems like something Monkey would make if he knew how to make a paper snowflake. Maybe I should teach him how....

This is the Circle Snowflake. Except it's more like an Oval Snowflake.

I would like this one a lot, but I punched holes to close to the edge, and so some of them are not full circles. I really like the shapes on the inside, though.

Snowflake Season Day 6

This is one of my favorites. I think it looks the most like a real snowflake. If you haven't noticed already, these snowflakes have 8 points, not 6. I think all real snowflakes have 6 points, but I digress. I think that this one looks more real cuz it is pointy. Most of the snowflakes are roundy, and I can't make more pointy ones, cuz i don't know how. This one was a fluke.

Every time I write the word 'snowflake' I forget the 'l' and write 'snowfake' I might actually stick with that, since these are fake snowflakes. What do you think?

I kinda cheated on this one. Instead of putting the hole in it when it was all folded up, I put it in after I unfolded it. Does it really make a difference?

I had a choir side last night. All the choirs from my stake came, and the some other choirs They were BAPTISTS there! They were like my every idea of what a baptist choir should be, except they didn't wear those long robes. Other than that, they were perfect! They swayed and clapped when they sang, and there was lots of scooping, and there wasn't a single white person in the choir. And they called god "You". That was weird. And their pastor said the closing prayer- it was so different! Everybody stood up and held each other hands, and the pastor (I wanna call him a bishop, but that's not right) said a buncha stuff that actually sounded pretty good (except that he called God "You") and after every phrase, all the baptist said "yeah, yeah, that's right". And then at the end everybody had to look at their neighbor and say a buncha funny phrases that I couldn't understand 'cuz I was laughing so freaking hard and so was my friend...and...and... and nobody said "Hallelujah!" at the end. I was kinda disappointed about that part. But other than that, it was awesome!

And my choir got a standing ovation. That was pretty cool too.

Actually you could see it, cuz this is the one with the flash, I decided it showed up better (is that bad grammar? Probably). But I didn't know that it would when I took the picture, so I took two. Hopefully I will finish decorating the house today. My mom is not a big decorator- she does pictures and that's all. So I get to do The Christmas decorating! Here is what the front room looks like right now:I hate this stupid underlined thing!
But I should be getting it cleaned up today.

Snowflake Season

I've been inspired by DeNae's Month O' Gratitude. Every day in December I'm going to post a picture of a paper snowflake I've made. At the end of the month (or really the begining of next month) I'll put up a poll and you can tell me which one was your favorite. Fun, right?
